Our experience with the Krait X
What immediately struck us about this air rifle is how well thought out everything is designed. The AR15-style pistol grip feels familiar, and the side lever next to the trigger makes reloading very natural. The relatively low weight of 3.1 kg surprised us positively – you expect more from such a powerful model. The external regulator is truly a practical addition: you adjust the pressure without fuss with the 480 cc carbon cylinder.
Technology, performance and variants
The Krait X operates on PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) with a maximum fill pressure of 300 bar. The heart of this air rifle is the internal regulator system, supported by a generous 60 cc plenum for stable air distribution. With a length of 88 cm, a barrel length of 700 mm and a magazine capacity of 16 shots, this model offers excellent specifications. The Krait X is available in calibre 5.5mm with 80 joules, 6.35mm with up to 100 joules, and 7.62mm. The differences in power make each calibre suitable for specific purposes – the 5.5mm model for precision at medium range, whilst the heavier calibres offer more impact. Use and operation
This air rifle adapts completely to your preferences. You extend the metal stock to the desired length, adjust the cheek piece in height. Particularly handy: you can mount the cocking lever on the left or right, ideal for both left- and right-handed shooters. The safety catch is positioned in a logical place and the Picatinny/Weaver rails offer ample space for your favourite optics. The single-action trigger is externally adjustable for optimal control.
