Our experience with this air rifle

When we at Shogun unpacked the Oktoberfest, we immediately felt that fairground nostalgia. The weight of 3.48 kilograms gives a solid feel without becoming tiring during shooting. What stands out straight away is the beautiful finish – the wooden stock has a warm appearance and the metalwork is neatly done. Cocking via the bolt feels exactly as it should, although you do need to master the right technique: keep the barrel slightly raised while loading, just like in the old days at the fairground.

Technology and performance

This air rifle operates according to the classic bolt-action principle that generations of Dutch people know from the fairground. With a maximum power of 3.0 joules, it is perfect for recreational shooting at short distances – think 10 to 15 metres. The 545 mm long barrel ensures surprisingly good accuracy, while the single action trigger system provides a light and predictable firing moment. Use and operation

Operating this air rifle is wonderfully simple. Pull the bolt back to cock – do this calmly and smoothly, forcing it is unnecessary and can damage the cocking lever. The safety provides extra security between loading and shooting. The iron sight consists of a classic combination of front and rear sight, allowing you to start immediately without extra accessories. The Oktoberfest is suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. Please note: only use 4.4 mm BBs, not 4.5 mm pellets, to avoid malfunctions.
