The rifled barrel provides increased accuracy up to about 15-20 metres. You can make shooting at these distances easier by purchasing a rifle scope. We recommend a 4 x 32 rifle scope. These scopes provide enough light and clarity for the distances you can shoot effectively with this rifle.

The rifle has an Anti-Bear Trap safety which, when cocked, prevents it from accidentally going off and being damaged. Keep in mind, however, that you must hold the barrel firmly during tensioning! If you release it (accidentally), it will recoil with great force and (in some cases) be damaged beyond repair.
