HIKMICRO HIK Cam A7E 4K Scope Camera

The HIKMICRO HIK Cam A7E is an ultra-lightweight 4K barrel camera that captures every shot in razor-sharp detail. This observation and analysis tool helps you study your technique, review slow-motion replays, and refine your performance on the range or in the field — without affecting the balance of your setup.

Our thoughts on this observation tool

Honestly, what struck us immediately was how compact and lightweight this thing is. Weighing just 138.6 grams and measuring less than 11 cm in length, you'll barely notice it's mounted. What truly surprised us is the AI-powered wake-up system: no need to fiddle with buttons at the critical moment. The camera starts automatically, either triggered by motion or recoil. In practice, this makes for a wonderfully hassle-free experience.

Technology and optical performance

In terms of image quality, it more than delivers. You can record in 4K @60fps, 2.7K @90fps, or 1080P @120fps, with variable magnification from 2x to 8x. This allows you to bring both a nearby clay pigeon and a distant target into sharp focus. The lens features an aperture of F2.0 and a field of view of 46.8°. The self-learning AI light algorithm instantly adjusts exposure in bright sunlight, deep shadow, or backlit conditions, keeping your image clear and high-contrast. The instant slow-motion replay (0.2x – 0.6x) shows you what the naked eye misses — ideal for analysis.

The housing is fully dust- and waterproof (IP67) and operates effortlessly from -20°C to +40°C. The built-in 18650 battery lasts up to 15 hours, sufficient for approximately 400 recordings. The internal memory of 64GB provides space for around 3 hours of 4K video. Want all the details? Have a look under the 'More Information' tab.

Mounting and compatibility

This observation tool is mounted using a mounting bracket compatible with diameters from 14 mm to 26 mm. This means the camera fits on virtually any barrel, with or without a moderator. Important to note: the mounting bracket is not included as standard and must be ordered separately. Via the stable Wi-Fi connection and the HIKMICRO Sight App, you can watch live footage, download images in an instant, and customise the digital crosshair (shape and colour) to your preference.

Who is this observation tool intended for?

This 4K scope camera is ideally suited for sport shooters and users who want to seriously analyse their technique. Whether you shoot clay pigeons, train on the range, or practise disciplines such as FITASC and Skeet — the motion-based wake-up and recoil-based activation are perfectly suited to these activities. Are you an experienced shooter looking to truly zoom in on your stance, timing, and execution? Then this observation tool is a valuable ally. For the beginner looking to build their skills, it also functions as a patient, objective coach that forgets nothing.
