During a weekend trip, we tested this pocket knife for camping chores. The spring-assisted system worked smoothly, although we noticed the mechanism requires some maintenance after intensive use in dusty environments.

Performance and sharpness of this pocket knife

The razor-sharp 3Cr13 steel is a Chinese steel type that is easy to sharpen and retains its edge reasonably well. Excellent for cutting rope, food, and light wood. The drop point blade shape of 5.72 cm allows for precision work, although the steel is less hard than premium alternatives.

Grip and ease of use

The 9.53 cm long handle offers a solid grip, although it lacks an ergonomic grip texture. The framelock locking mechanism works reliably and the pocket clip keeps the knife securely in place. The spring-assisted opening mechanism makes one-handed opening easy.

Ideal for beginners getting acquainted with EDC pocket knives or anyone looking for an affordable backup knife. Less suitable for heavy outdoor tasks, but perfect for daily jobs such as opening packages or peeling apples.

Maintenance and durability

The stainless steel requires little maintenance – occasional wiping and a drop of oil on the mechanism is sufficient. The satin blade finish is reasonably scratch-resistant. For optimal performance, we recommend regular sharpening with a sharpening stone.
