During a bushcraft weekend, the Blue Bird performed well for light cutting work. The knife opened smoothly, even with cold fingers. The blue grip remained secure, even when our hands were wet from the rain.

The 3Cr13 steel is an entry-level steel that is corrosion-resistant and easy to maintain. With a blade length of 8 cm and a drop point blade shape, the knife cuts effortlessly through rope, food and light wood. The plain-edge grind ensures a razor-sharp result straight out of the box.

Grip and ease of use

At just 183 grams, you’ll barely notice this knife in your pocket. The linerlock locking mechanism works reliably and holds the blade firmly in place. The blue handle material provides good traction, although the knife lacks a thumb stud for one-handed opening.
