This HPA engine converts your V2 gearbox into a fully pneumatically driven system. Instead of a motor, piston and gear set, you use compressed air to cycle the nozzle and fire the BB. The Gate Pulsar D2 uses a Dual Solenoid design and is controlled by the included Titan II Bluetooth EXPERT FCU. If you are looking for an HPA engine that runs both Closed-Bolt and Open-Bolt and is fully configurable via your smartphone, this is a complete kit to convert your AEG (automatic electric gun) into an HPA replica. You replace or add this when you want to move away from mechanical wear and are looking for stable FPS on semi and full-auto.

Technical specifications

The Pulsar D2 engine is built around an aluminium piston with an enlarged compression chamber, a new poppet valve and a central nozzle return spring. The housing features a pink finish with Gate Pulsar D2 markings. The engine weighs 95 grams and measures 110 × 25.4 × 38.5 mm. The working pressure ranges between 60 and 140 PSI, the power range between 0.5 and 3.6 Joule (75 – 195 m/s), and the rate of fire runs up to 40 RPS. Supply voltage is 5 – 8.4V, with an air consumption of ± 0.7 PSI per shot at 90 PSI. The included Titan II Bluetooth EXPERT FCU measures 47.2 × 28.9 × 14.5 mm, uses Bluetooth 5.2 Low Energy and operates on 5 – 8.6V DC. The set includes 5 CNC nozzles of various lengths, front wired cabling, installation hardware and a manual.

Compatibility and application

This HPA engine is designed for standard V2 gearboxes and works with standard AEG nozzles. The front wired configuration routes the wiring to the front, suitable for builds where you want to run the bottle or line connection from the front. Via the Titan II and the Gate Control Station (GCS), you can configure trigger sensitivity, ROF, firing modes, binary trigger, dwell and nozzle timing on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, watchOS and Wear OS. The engine is suitable for CQB, Assault and DMR builds and fits both beginner and advanced HPA (high pressure air) users. Please note that converting a V2 gearbox to HPA (high pressure air) requires installation experience: you will be working with solenoids, air lines and FCU wiring. If in doubt, have the installation carried out by someone with gearbox experience, so that the nozzle cycle synchronises correctly before your first skirmish.
