Our experience from the Shogun team

During our tests in a PCP air rifle tuned to an energy output of around 40–55 joules, the consistent flight behaviour of this projectile was particularly notable. Due to its higher weight, the slug remains stable in the wind and retains energy well at longer distances between 75 and 100 metres. Groupings at 75 metres remained tight, and as distance increases towards 100 metres, the projectile maintains its velocity impressively. A chronograph is a valuable tool for accurately measuring the actual energy output of your setup, and it is worth testing different grain weights to determine which best suits the barrel of your air rifle.
