Our experience from the Shogun team

In our tests, this H&N slug performed exceptionally at distances between 75 and 100 metres, with the heavy 27 grain mass providing minimal wind sensitivity. The projectile retains its energy excellently thanks to the optimised shape, which translates into consistent hits at longer ranges. The hollow point construction not only ensures good energy transfer on impact, but also contributes to stability during flight due to the shifted centre of gravity.

Technical features in practice

With a 5.5mm caliber, 27 grain weight and hollow point bullet shape made of lead, this projectile is optimised for powerful PCP systems. The 200 pieces per pack are individually inspected and securely packaged. The heavy weight requires a minimum barrel energy of 25 joules, but truly comes into its own from 40-60 joules. The slug shape fundamentally differs from diabolo pellets due to the absence of a skirt, resulting in better aerodynamics but requiring specific barrel characteristics for optimal performance.
