Sordin X2 Hearing Protection – Active Protection with Neckband

The Sordin X2 is an active hearing protector specifically developed for shooting sports and hunting. This hearing protection combines high noise attenuation with a slim design of the ear cups, ensuring optimal wearing comfort. The water-resistant design makes the X2 suitable for use in various weather conditions. The neckband version offers an alternative for shooters who do not prefer a headband.

Technical Features

The X2 operates with a level-dependent system that amplifies ambient sounds up to a maximum of 82 dB(A), while harmful sounds are attenuated. The single 3.7V 14500 rechargeable battery lasts up to 4 hours thanks to automatic shut-off. The weight is 333 grams including battery for models with silicone sealing rings. The operational temperature ranges between -32°C and +55°C. The neckband is available with either a fixed leather or removable textile covering.

Application in Shooting Sports

The SordinHEAR2 audio system offers four preset audio profiles: Hunter (medium amplification), Focus (low amplification), Shooter (high amplification) and Ambient off. These profiles optimise sound reproduction for different shooting environments. The short recovery time ensures that normal sounds are audible again immediately after a shot. The slim ear cups are suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters as well as spectacle wearers.
