During a weekend trip, we tested the M48 on various bushcraft tasks. The grip felt surprisingly stable, even with wet hands. The compact size made the knife handy for finer tasks such as working with rope and preparing kindling.

The blade is made from 2Cr13 steel, a stainless steel that is highly resistant to corrosion and reasonably retains its sharpness. The drop point shape with a blade length of 13.3 cm is razor-sharp and suitable for general cutting tasks such as rope, wood, and food. The black oxide coating provides extra protection against rust.

Grip and ease of use

The handle is made from TPR (thermoplastic rubber), which ensures an ergonomic grip that does not slip. With a total length of 24 cm, the knife is well balanced in the hand. The weight of 170 grams makes it light enough for prolonged use without fatigue.
