AEA Precision Exact Slug Match – precision pellets for high-power PCP air rifles

These AEA Precision Exact Slug Match projectiles are designed for shooters who want to get the maximum out of their large-calibre PCP air rifle. With a calibre of .457 (11.6mm) and a weight of 335 grain, these hollow point slugs are built for powerful air pressure systems from 300 joules. The flat-base design ensures optimal sealing in the barrel, whilst the hollow point construction guarantees effective energy transfer at long distances.

Our experience from the Shogun team

In practice, these heavy slugs prove their worth in long-range precision shooting. The stable flight that the flat-base design provides combines excellently with the heavy weight of 335 grain. This results in a projectile that is less susceptible to wind drift and retains its energy over greater distances. With PCP systems with sufficient power, these slugs perform consistently at distances beyond 100 metres.

Technical characteristics in practice

The calibre of .457 combined with 335 grain makes this one of the heaviest projectiles in the air rifle segment. The hollow point pellet shape not only ensures good aerodynamics during flight, but also maximum energy transfer on impact. The flat-base design guarantees a perfect seal in the barrel, which is essential for consistent velocities and precision. With 30 slugs per package, you have sufficient ammunition for extensive test sessions with your chronograph to determine the optimal settings for your air rifle.

For whom is this air rifle ammunition suitable?

This slug for PCP air rifle is specifically intended for experienced shooters with powerful large-calibre PCP systems. The heavy weight and large calibre require an air rifle with at least 300 joules muzzle energy to utilise the full potential. Precision enthusiasts who want to shoot at long distances will find a reliable partner in these slugs. Because it is a hollow point projectile, it is also suitable for pest control, but the use of an air rifle for this purpose is legally regulated. In many cases, an exemption or hunting licence is required, and this is exclusively permitted for recognised controllers or certified users.
