AEA Precision 8.6mm Center Punch Pellet – precision for long distances

This 8.6mm Center Punch pellet from AEA Precision with a weight of 95 grain is developed for powerful PCP air rifles operating from 110 Joule. This heavy projectile comes into its own at long distances where stability and precision are crucial. The pellet shape ensures a predictable flight, whilst the substantial weight ensures energy retention over greater distances.

Our experience from the Shogun team

In our tests with various PCP systems, the consistent grouping is particularly notable. The Center Punch maintains its stability excellently, even in wind-sensitive conditions. At distances well beyond 100 metres, the projectile continues to fly predictably. The pellet shape provides a good aerodynamic balance between velocity and stability, resulting in tight groups on target.

Technical characteristics in practice

With a calibre of 8.6mm (.338) and a weight of 95 grain, this projectile belongs to the heavier class of air rifle ammunition. The pellet shape with its characteristic waist provides gyroscopic stabilisation during flight. The weight of 95 grain means you need a powerful PCP system to generate sufficient muzzle velocity. The packaging contains 100 pieces, ideal for extensive shooting sessions where you can find the optimal setting for your air rifle.

For whom is this air rifle ammunition suitable?

These precision pellets are eminently suitable for experienced shooters with powerful PCP air rifles who wish to shoot at long distances. Think of precision competitions such as Field Target at extreme distances or benchrest shooting where every millimetre counts. Testing different charging pressures in combination with a chronograph gives you insight into the optimal energy output for your specific air rifle.
