Our experience with the AirMaks Krait
The Shogun team was particularly impressed by the low weight – at 2.5 kg, this air rifle feels almost 600 grams lighter than comparable models. The combination of a carbon cylinder (300cc) and aluminium KeyMod handguard provides this weight saving without compromising on sturdiness. The external regulator adjustment works intuitively and the adjustable side lever is perfectly within reach.
Technology, performance and variants
This PCP air rifle operates with a maximum fill pressure of 300 bar. The 400mm long barrel ensures excellent precision, whilst the integrated suppressor keeps the noise level limited. The magazine holds 16 shots. This model is available in 5.5mm caliber with 32 joule power and in 6.35mm caliber with a more powerful 51 joule version. The difference means that the 6.35mm variant offers more impact force for longer distances, whilst the 5.5mm version is ideal for precision shooting. Curious about all the technical details? Use and operation
The adjustable side lever of this air rifle makes reloading smooth – for both left- and right-handed shooters. The anti-double-feed system prevents two pellets from being accidentally loaded. The single-action trigger is externally adjustable for perfect tuning to your preference. The safety catch works reliably and the metal stock is fully adjustable: extendable, with adjustable cheek piece and height-adjustable buttpad.
