Our experience with Byrna SD Kinetic Kit | .68 | CO2 | Black | Byrna
What immediately stands out about this air pistol is its high-quality finish. The reinforced nylon fibre frame feels solid without being heavy - at 560 grams it sits comfortably in the hand. The honeycomb grip ensures excellent control, even during longer shooting sessions. The patented Pull-Pierce system is truly cleverly designed: the CO2 remains unopened until the first shot.
Technology, performance and variants
The Byrna SD operates on 8-gram CO2 cartridges and delivers a consistent energy of 30 J/in² (approximately 11 joules). With a muzzle velocity of 280 FPS (85 MPS), you can shoot accurately up to 18 metres distance. This model is available in .68 caliber (17.3mm), has a length of 18.5 cm and a magazine capacity of 5 shots. Per CO2 cartridge you get approximately 22 shots, which is more than sufficient for a training session. The semi-automatic system with single action trigger ensures a smooth shooting experience.
