Our thoughts on this red dot sight

What caught our attention immediately: this red dot is pleasantly light at 0.12 kilograms and yet feels surprisingly solid thanks to its single-piece chassis made from aluminium. The detail we particularly appreciate is the motion activation with auto-shutdown after 10 minutes – you never have to think about whether you've switched it off, and it saves considerably on battery life.

Technology and optical performance of this red dot sight

The Crossfire II operates with a magnification of 1x and a 2 MOA dot in bright red. That small, vivid dot makes aiming fast and clear, regardless of lighting conditions or background. You have access to 10 brightness settings for daylight use, of which the lowest 2 settings are night-vision compatible. With no parallax and unlimited eye relief, there's no need to search for the correct viewing angle – your eye and the dot find each other instantly.

The lenses are fully multi-coated and protected with ArmorTek® coating against scratches, oil, and dirt. The housing is nitrogen-filled and therefore waterproof, fog-proof, and shockproof. In terms of power, this runs on a CR2032 battery with an impressive runtime of 50,000 hours. The total length is 6.6 cm. Mounting and compatibility

This red dot sight is mounted on a Picatinny rail. This is the standard for airsoft replicas and many PCP air rifles, and provides a secure fit with broad compatibility. A handy addition is the included Multi-Height Mount System, featuring both a lower 1/3 co-witness mount and a low mount – allowing you to adjust the height to suit your own setup and eye position.

The mount is included straight out of the box; there's nothing additional to purchase before you can get started.

The low matte black anodising reduces reflections, which is useful during tactical simulations.
