This swap set has been specially developed by CZ for the P-07 Kadet to convert the original calibre to .22LR.
Besides .22LR being an affordable alternative for any sport shooter for target practice, this set may also be of interest to novice sport shooters.
The .22 LR or .22 Long Rifle is a rimfire cartridge in which the ignition charge (firing pin) is pressed into the thin-walled protruding edge of the sleeve base. Impact of the firing pin at this location ignites the cartridge.
A novice sport shooter who is going to apply for his first permit will not immediately get every calibre on permit. Nevertheless, a novice sport shooter may already be interested in a specific model in a heavier calibre. When a novice sport shooter has his eye on, say, the P-07 Kadet in calibre 9mm para, he can choose to temporarily store the slide and barrel at the gun dealer. Combining the remaining grip piece and change set creates the possibility of still getting the P-07 cadet on permit. If the novice sport shooter gets to the stage where a larger calibre can be added to the permit, the sport shooter can have his stored sled and barrel in 9mm para credited to the permit.
