The exterior of the SA-P27 is based on the genuine Daniel Defense DD4 RIII platform, a system that has its origins in the RIS II rails that Daniel Defense developed in 2006 for US SOCOM. The RIS III adopts the proven two-piece free-float construction of its predecessor, but replaces the quad-rail system with a lighter M-LOK compatible handguard with seven M-LOK attachment points and an uninterrupted Mil-Spec 1913 Picatinny top rail.

The replica is manufactured from metal receiver with a nano coating finish that offers scratch resistance during intensive use in the field. The handguard, stock and pistol grip are made from high-grade polymer. The RIS III front provides integrated QD swivel attachment points on both sides, ideal for your sling setup.

It replaces the traditional trigger contacts with a system of optical sensors that monitor the trigger position, gear position and selector switch entirely wear-free and without risk of electrical arcing.

Via built-in Bluetooth 5.2 you connect the Aster II in seconds with the GCS app (available for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows). No extra dongles needed. From the app you configure all parameters and receive real-time telemetry such as a BB counter, battery voltage and motor diagnostics. The system is also compatible with smartwatches (Wear OS and watchOS).

The Aster II offers the following configurable functions, among others:

• Quantum Trigger 2: up to 35 trigger sensitivity settings in the first millimetre of trigger movement and up to 680 settings across the full range from ultra-hair trigger to full pull-through.
• Automatic pre-cocking: the piston is pre-tensioned halfway after each shot, allowing the next shot to follow extremely quickly.
• Active Brake: stops the motor immediately after release, making double-shots on semi-auto a thing of the past.
• Binary trigger mode: shot on both press and release of the trigger.
• Fire modes: safe, semi-automatic, binary, burst, burst/auto and auto & semi-ramping are configurable.
• Sniper Delay: enforces minimum time between shots, useful on DMR builds.
• ROF control: set the rate of fire independently of battery voltage, even at higher voltages.
• Battery and motor protection: built-in smart fuse protects your battery, motor and controller even when the battery is connected in reverse.
• MIL-V-173C coating: military weather resistance standard protects the module against moisture and dust during field use.
• Deep sleep mode: extremely low power consumption (130 µA) during inactivity prevents battery drain.

Æther gearbox and Magnus TDC hop-up: engineering that makes the difference at range

The Specna Arms Æther gearbox has been completely redesigned for the PRIME series. The shell is reinforced polymer with 8mm J-Cage ball bearings for motor and piston pinion, and 8mm plain bearings for the central gear axle. The gear set consists of CNC milled steel (16:1 ratio), the piston is reinforced polymer with a full steel rack and the pneumatic assembly is aluminium. The spring guide rod is fitted with a bearing, which benefits the precision of the compression cycle.

The ESA2 quick spring change system allows you to replace the main spring without tools and in under a minute. An M90 and M135 are included alongside the pre-installed M110 spring, making the replica immediately suitable for different game rules and field limits.

The Magnus TDC (Top Down Centre) rotary hop-up is inspired by high-end aftermarket chambers. In combination with the Helium flat-hop bucking specifically designed for heavier BBs such as 0.28 g and 0.32 g and the 6.02 mm stainless steel inner barrel, the SA-P27 PRIME delivers shot-to-shot consistency you normally only see after a complete precision upgrade.
