FX Hybrid Slugs MKII – heavy ammunition for PCP shooters at longer distances

These FX Hybrid Slugs MKII combine the best of both worlds: the aerodynamics of a slug with the fit of a diabolo pellet. With their 6.35mm caliber and a weight of 26 grain, these hollow point projectiles are specially developed for powerful PCP air rifles from 40 Joules. The hybrid shape ensures an excellent fit in the lands and grooves of your barrel, while the heavier weight guarantees a stable flight at distances of 75 to 100 metres.

Our experience from the Shogun team

In our tests, these Hybrid Slugs performed exceptionally well in FX air rifles such as the Impact and Crown, but other brands of PCPs also benefit from the well-thought-out design. The low ballistic coefficient means these slugs retain their velocity better than traditional pellets, especially noticeable beyond 50 metres. The hollow point construction creates a large hollow tip that expands on impact, resulting in effective energy transfer – ideal for rat control or pest control at greater distances up to 100 metres.

Due to the weight of 26 grain, you need at least a PCP air rifle with sufficient energy (from 40 Joules) to shoot these slugs effectively. If you use a hollow point projectile for pest control, please note that the use of an air rifle is legally regulated. In many cases, an exemption or hunting licence is required, and this is only permitted for recognised controllers or certified users.
