The Shogun team was immediately impressed by the solid construction of this air rifle. The polymer stock with rubber checkering feels robust and provides excellent grip, even in damp conditions. What particularly stood out during testing was the smooth bolt system – reloading is quick and quiet. The automatic safety catch provides extra confidence during use.
Technology, performance and variants
This model operates on the PCP principle with a cylinder capacity of 150cc and a fill pressure of 232 bar. The Coyote Black Tactical has a length of 98 cm, a muzzle with 1/2 UNF thread for mounting a moderator, and is supplied with a 10-shot magazine. This air rifle delivers an impressive power of 40 joules with a muzzle velocity of 360 m/s (1181 FPS) in caliber 5.5mm. These specifications make it possible to shoot effectively up to approximately 60 metres, with the 470mm long match-grade barrel providing the desired precision. Use and operation
This air rifle is designed for both left- and right-handed shooters. The adjustable cheek piece helps in finding the ideal shooting position. The safety catch engages automatically when cocking, which increases safety. The ergonomic pistol grip ensures a natural hand position, whilst the fully adjustable 2-stage CAT trigger offers a crisp release. Weighing 3.4 kilograms, the rifle sits stable without becoming too heavy.
