Primary Arms GLx 1x MicroPrism – Green Dot with ACSS Cyclops Reticle

The Primary Arms GLx 1x MicroPrism is a compact prism scope that combines the best of both worlds: the speed of a red dot sight with the clear, etched reticle of a prism scope. Ideal for fast target acquisition at close range, without compromising on optical quality.

Our thoughts on this red dot sight

What immediately stood out to us: this red dot sight is surprisingly slim and lightweight for a prism scope. Weighing just 0.2500 kilograms in total, it barely makes its presence felt on your platform. The greatest advantage during use is the near unlimited eye relief – you don't need to perfectly align your eye to get a sharp image. This makes aiming smooth and relaxed, even when you switch position quickly. The etched reticle also remains visible without illumination, which is useful if your battery ever runs out or if you suffer from astigmatism.

Technology and optical performance

This prism scope offers 1x magnification with an ACSS Cyclops reticle in green. The large horseshoe shape automatically draws your eye to the sharp centre chevron for rapid placement, while the auto-ranging ladder assists with distance estimation. With a lens diameter of 20 mm and an exit pupil of 18.8 mm, you benefit from a generous field of view of 74.8 ft. at 100 yards. Adjustment is made in precise increments of 1/2 MOA, with 50 MOA total adjustment in both elevation and windage.

Illumination features 13 settings, including 3 night vision settings and a true Daylight Bright® mode for bright daylight conditions. Thanks to the AutoLive® motion sensor, it switches on and off automatically, resulting in a battery life of up to 14,925 hours on setting 5. The housing is made of aluminium, fully IP67 waterproof, and nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging. Power is supplied by a single CR2032 battery (included). Further details can be found under the 'More Information' tab.

Mounting and compatibility

This red dot sight is mounted on a Picatinny rail – the standard found on airsoft replicas and many PCP air rifles, ensuring a secure fit and broad compatibility. The included mounting system uses the industry-standard mini-prism footprint and offers 8 different mounting heights, ranging from a 1" centreline to over 2" for heads-up aiming or night vision configurations. A complete mounting system is included in the box.

Who is this red dot sight intended for?

This red dot sight is intended for the dedicated airsoft player or sport shooter who wants to aim quickly at close to medium range, while still benefiting from a clean, etched reticle. Particularly useful in tactical simulations where speed matters, and thanks to the Night Vision Compatible settings, also ideal for those wishing to observe in low light or darkness. Do you wear glasses or suffer from astigmatism? Then the etched reticle is a genuine solution.
