Our experience with the Katran
What immediately stands out with the Katran is the thoughtful construction. The Shogun team was impressed by the AR15-style grip that sits comfortably in the hand and the fully adjustable metal stock that effortlessly adapts to different shooters. The side lever operates smoothly and the anti-double feed system effectively prevents double loading. This air rifle feels familiar from the very first moment.
Technology, performance and variants
The Katran operates on the PCP principle with a maximum fill pressure of 300 bar. This model has a CZ barrel of 400 mm, a 16-shot magazine and is equipped with an integrated moderator. The Katran is available in two variants: 5.5mm caliber with 32 Joule power and 6.35mm caliber with 51 Joule power. The difference in caliber and power means that the 5.5mm variant is ideal for precision shooting at medium range, whilst the more powerful 6.35mm variant is suitable for shooters seeking maximum impact. Use and operation
This air rifle offers exceptionally many adjustment options. The adjustable trigger allows you to set the firing characteristics to your preference, whilst the safety catch and cocking lever are suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. With the KeyMod handguard you can easily mount accessories, and the 22mm Weaver top rail provides space for virtually any rifle scope. The adjustable cheek piece and extendable stock help you find the perfect shooting position.
