Vesta Defence QuickSilver PDW50 – Heavy round pellets for powerful CO₂ systems

This QuickSilver PDW50 air rifle ammunition combines a solid steel core with a polymer coating for maximum impact. With a calibre of 12.7mm (.50) and a weight of 55.6 grain, these round pellets belong to the heaviest category of projectiles. The hybrid polymer/metal construction ensures optimal energy transfer, specially developed for CO₂-powered systems from 20 joules onwards.

Our experience from the Shogun team

The unique construction where the steel ball is perfectly encased by the polymer shell ensures stable flight and consistent performance. These waterproof projectiles retain their shape and weight, even under humid conditions. Due to the high weight of 55.6 grain, these round pellets remain stable at long distances and retain their energy better than lighter alternatives. With CO₂ systems from 20 joules onwards, they perform excellently at distances up to 50 metres.

Technical characteristics in practice

The calibre of 12.7mm combined with 55.6 grain weight results in a projectile with excellent energy transfer. The polymer/metal construction makes this ammunition particularly durable and even reusable. The package contains 200 pieces, sufficient for extended shooting sessions. Testing different grains in combination with a chronograph provides valuable insights into the energy output of your specific CO₂ system, which is essential for optimising performance.

Who is this air rifle ammunition suitable for?

These precision pellets are designed for experienced shooters with .50 calibre CO₂-powered systems. The heavy projectiles require an air rifle with sufficient power to effectively fire the 55.6 grain. Ideal for shooters seeking maximum energy and stability, where consistency and reusability are important factors. Perfect for precision shooting at short to medium distances where power and accuracy come together.
