Survival Radio | SW1/SW2/FM/AM | Fosco Industries

This Fosco Survival Radio combines FM/AM and SW1/SW2 reception with three power options. The device runs on solar energy, manual dynamo or batteries. Thanks to the built-in LED torch, this radio functions as both a communication and lighting tool during outdoor activities, emergency situations and prepping.

Technical specifications

This radio weighs 250 grams and has a green casing with wrist strap. The four frequency bands (FM/AM/SW1/SW2) receive local, regional and international stations. The solar panel on top charges the internal battery in daylight. Via the dynamo handle, you generate power manually by turning. The LED torch on the side provides immediate light.

Application during outdoor activities and prepping

During multi-day trips or in emergency situations, you stay informed about weather forecasts and warnings with this radio. During power cuts or in remote areas, you turn the handle for a few minutes to get hours of listening time. The torch helps with navigation in the dark or as an emergency signal. For preppers, this radio forms part of the bug-out bag because communication remains possible without mains power.

Who is this radio suitable for?

Bushcrafters, survivalists and preppers use this radio as a backup communication device. Walkers and campers who venture beyond mobile network coverage also maintain contact with the outside world. The compact dimensions and low weight make transport in a rucksack or storage box easy.
