The Diana Trailscout is a CO₂-powered air rifle that stands out for its combination of ease of use and above-average power. The classic wooden stock and solid finish give this rifle a timeless appearance.
Our experience with the Diana Trailscout
The Shogun team was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this CO₂ air rifle. The wooden stock sits comfortably in the hand and the 9-shot magazine cycles smoothly. Remarkably quiet shooting thanks to the included moderator - ideal for use in the back garden. The adjustable trigger can be easily set to personal preference.
Technology, performance and variants
The Trailscout operates on CO₂ cartridges where you insert three 12-gram cartridges simultaneously for approximately 100 shots. This model has a length of 101 cm, no muzzle device and a magazine capacity of 9 shots. The Diana Trailscout is available in 4.5mm caliber with 11.5 joule power at a muzzle velocity of 220 m/s (722 FPS). These performance figures make it a powerful air rifle within the CO₂ category, perfect for shooters who want more power without switching to PCP. Curious about all the technical details? Use and operation
This air rifle offers excellent ergonomics with its right-handed wooden stock. The safety catch is easily accessible and operates intuitively. Loading is done via the 9-shot magazine or the included single-shot adapter for maximum precision. The 11mm dovetail rail provides mounting options for a rifle scope. Changing CO₂ cartridges is straightforward thanks to the clear markings in the system.
Who is this air rifle intended for?
The Trailscout is perfect for shooters who appreciate the simplicity of CO₂ but still demand serious performance. Beginners will enjoy the ease of use, whilst experienced shooters appreciate the accuracy and 11.5 joule power for precision shooting at medium range. With its moderator, this is also an excellent choice for garden use where noise disturbance must be avoided.
