Vector Optics Maverick-IV 3x22 Rifle Scope

This rifle scope is a compact magnifier specifically designed to work together with red dot sights. With a 3x magnification, this scope transforms your red dot setup into a more versatile aiming device, perfect for when you need just a bit more range without sacrificing the speed of a red dot.

What we think of this rifle scope

The Shogun team was immediately impressed by the compact size - 27% shorter than the previous generation. This scope feels surprisingly robust thanks to the rubber armour coating, and the flip-to-side mount works smoothly and intuitively. What really stands out is the clear image quality for such a compact design.

Technical specifications and optical performance

With a 3x magnification and 22mm objective lens, this magnifier offers a nice compromise between magnification and compactness. The multi-coated glass coating ensures a clear and high-contrast image, even in less than ideal lighting conditions. The 70mm eye relief is generous - you don't need to press your eye against the scope for a full image. The field of view of 8 degrees is wide enough for comfortable aiming.

The housing is made of 6061-T6 aluminium with a rubber armour coating, resulting in a weight of just 271 grams. The IP56 certification means this scope is resistant to dust and water jets, whilst the 750G shock resistance ensures it can take a knock.

Mounting and compatibility

This rifle scope comes with a quick-release Picatinny mount - this is the standard for airsoft replicas and many PCP air rifles, providing secure attachment and broad compatibility. The clever flip-to-side mechanism allows you to quickly flip the magnifier aside when you only want to use your red dot. Extra convenient: a 3mm riser is included for perfect alignment with lower 1/3 co-witness red dots.

The windage and elevation adjustments offer ≥90 MOA adjustment range, more than sufficient to compensate for any alignment differences. The dioptre compensation of -2 to +2 ensures that users with different eye strengths get a sharp image.

Who is this rifle scope intended for?

This magnifier is ideal for the airsoft player or sport shooter seeking flexibility. Are you someone who mainly plays at short range but occasionally needs just a bit more reach? Then this is your solution. The compact dimensions make it perfect for dynamic playing styles where you need to switch quickly between different distances. Also for PCP shooters who want to upgrade their red dot sight without purchasing a completely new setup, this rifle scope is a smart choice.
