ZAN Projectiles HP Slugs Sample Box – versatile air rifle ammunition for testing purposes

This sample pack from ZAN Projectiles contains four different weights of hollow point slugs in 4.5mm caliber. With a total of 200 pieces (50 pieces per weight: 10, 13, 16, and 20 grain), you can extensively test which variant performs best in your air rifle. This air rifle ammunition is ideal for PCP air rifles where you want to find the optimal match between projectile and air rifle.

Our experience from the Shogun team

ZAN Projectiles is known for their high-quality production methods, resulting in consistent precision pellets. The deep hollow point ensures excellent expansion upon impact, while the specially shaped base creates a perfect seal in the barrel. With the lighter 10 grain variant, you can expect stable performance up to approximately 50 metres with a break barrel or pump-action air rifle. The heavier 16 and 20 grain variants come into their own in powerful PCP systems from 40 joules, allowing for accurate shooting up to 75-100 metres.

Technical features in practice

With a caliber of 4.5mm and a hollow point projectile shape, these slugs are designed for maximum energy transfer. The sample pack contains 200 pieces divided over four weights, carefully packaged to prevent transport damage. The hollow point construction creates a larger wound cavity than traditional diabolo pellets, while the aerodynamic shape guarantees stable flight behaviour. Testing different grains with a chronograph gives you immediate insight into the velocity and energy output of each projectile in your specific air rifle.

Who is this air rifle ammunition suitable for?

This slug for PCP air rifle sample box is perfect for the serious air rifle shooter looking to optimise their equipment. Whether you shoot recreationally at the range or perform precision work at longer distances, this test pack helps you find the ideal match. Thanks to the hollow point construction, these slugs are also suitable for rat control and pest control, but please note that the use of an air rifle is legally regulated. In many cases, an exemption or hunting licence is required, and this is only permitted for recognised pest controllers or certified users.
