Primary Arms RS-15 GLx Mini Reflex Sight – this red dot sight for precise aiming

The RS-15 from Primary Arms is a compact red dot sight specifically developed for precision and ease of use. This mini reflex sight combines a larger viewing window with a lightweight construction, allowing you to aim quickly and accurately during airsoft competitions or at the shooting range.

Our opinion of this red dot sight

The Shogun team is impressed by how compact yet robust this sight feels. The 7075 aluminium frame is surprisingly sturdy for such a small optic, and the side buttons for brightness are a clever addition – you don’t have to fiddle with small buttons on the underside.

Technology and optical performance

This red dot sight features a unique ACSS Vulcan reticle with a 3 MOA central dot and a 250 MOA outer circle. This means you not only have a small, precise aiming point, but also a large reference circle that helps you quickly find your target. The battery life is impressive: up to 5,000 hours on medium setting with the full reticle, or over 25,000 hours with just the dot.

The aperture window of 26x20mm offers a wide field of view, while the total weight is only 1.11 oz (approximately 31 grams). The 13 brightness settings, including 3 for night vision, make this sight suitable for all lighting conditions. Extra convenient: the AutoLive function automatically switches the sight off when stationary and back on when movement is detected.

Mounting and compatibility

This red dot sight comes with a GLOCK MOS mounting plate, meaning you can mount it directly onto compatible pistol slides without extra adapters. The sight can also be mounted directly onto most SIG P320 slides. The top-mounted battery compartment for the CR2032 battery is smart – you can replace the battery without removing the sight.

Who is this red dot sight intended for?

The RS-15 is ideal for the serious airsoft player or sports shooter looking for a compact yet high-quality optic for airsoft replicas. The fast ACSS Vulcan reticle makes it perfect for dynamic shooting scenarios where you need to react quickly. For stationary precision competitions, the fine 0.5 MOA windage and elevation adjustment provides ample control for perfectly setting your zero.
