At Shogun, we immediately noticed how neatly these rings are finished. The CNC machining is precise, the alignment is spot on, and the Torx bolts tighten smoothly without any risk of causing damage. For a lightweight of just 70 grams, you get a surprisingly solid return — a pleasant combination if you want to keep your setup compact yet serious.

Design and construction

This mount is made for optics with a tube diameter of 30 mm. The centre height is 28 mm (measured from the bottom to the centre of the ring), with a total height of 57.5 mm and a width of 48 mm. This gives you sufficient clearance for objectives with a larger lens diameter, without compromising a natural head position behind the scope.

The material is 7075-T6 aluminium, 5-axis CNC milled. In practice, this means: high rigidity, minimal deformation, and resistance to significant recoil — rated on paper up to .50 BMG level. The finish is a 20μm black anodised matte coating that is scratch-resistant and highly resistant to moisture and salt. The recommended torque for the ring bolts is 20–25 in/lbs (2.3–2.8 N·m), and a T15 Torx wrench is included as standard.

Mounting and compatibility

These rings are made for the Picatinny rail system, the standard found on airsoft replicas and many PCP air rifles. This ensures a secure fit and broad compatibility with virtually all modern setups. Do you have a traditional air rifle with an 11 mm dovetail rail? Then you will need a separate adapter — these rings are not directly intended for that purpose.

A nice feature is the X-MOD interface: on top of the rings you can modularly add red dot sight plates or additional Picatinny sections, allowing you to mount a mini red dot sight as a secondary aiming device, for example. The rings are supplied as a set of two, including the required T15 Torx wrench.
