AEA Precision Center Punch Pellet – precision for powerful PCP air rifles

This 8.6mm / .338 Center Punch Pellet from AEA Precision weighs 66 grain and is specifically designed for powerful PCP air rifles. With its diabolo shape, this projectile offers excellent stability during flight, resulting in consistent precision at long distances. The heavy weight makes these pellets ideal for PCP systems with at least 110 joule energy output, allowing you to shoot effectively at distances well beyond 100 metres.

Our experience from the Shogun team

In our tests with various PCP platforms, it's immediately apparent how stable these Center Punch projectiles fly. The heavy weight of 66 grain ensures predictable ballistics, even in changing weather conditions. The diabolo shape with its characteristic waist contributes to stable rotation, which translates into tight groups at long distances. With sufficient energy output, these projectiles maintain their velocity and precision well beyond 100 metres.

Technical characteristics in practice

With a calibre of 8.6mm / .338 and a weight of 66 grain, these Center Punch projectiles are on the heavy end of the spectrum. The diabolo shape ensures optimal air resistance and stability. You receive 150 pieces per package, which is sufficient for extensive shooting and testing sessions. The relatively large calibre combined with the high weight means your PCP system must be able to deliver sufficient air volume for consistent performance. A chronograph is useful for determining which pressure works best with your specific setup.

Who is this air rifle ammunition suitable for?

This air rifle ammunition is perfect for experienced PCP shooters working with powerful systems from 110 joule onwards. Think of shooters who focus on long-range precision or field target competitions at higher energy levels. The heavy weight and large calibre make these pellets particularly suitable for windy conditions where lighter diabolo pellets may drift. Technically interested shooters who enjoy experimenting with different projectile weights will also appreciate this premium ammunition.
