JSB Predator Polymag Short – heavy ammunition for powerful PCP air rifles

These JSB Predator Polymag Short pellets combine a 5.5mm calibre with a weight of 15.89 grain and a unique pointed pellet shape with a red polymer tip. The shortened design makes them perfect for rotary airgun magazines of PCP air rifles, with the hard polymer tip being pressed into the lead projectile upon impact for maximum energy transfer. With their specific construction, they are ideal for shooters seeking precision at distances up to 75-100 metres with air rifles from 40 joules.

Our experience from the Shogun team

The Polymag Short stands out for its reliable performance in magazine-sensitive air rifles where the standard Polymag can sometimes cause issues. The aerodynamic profile ensures a stable flight, with the combination of heavy weight and polymer tip providing predictable ballistics. The shortened length significantly improves magazine compatibility without affecting flight stability, which is especially noticeable when shooting at distances between 50 and 100 metres.

Technical features in practice

With 200 pieces per pack, this air rifle ammunition offers excellent value for money. The weight of 15.89 grain in the 5.5mm calibre makes these precision pellets suitable for PCP air rifles from 40 joules. The pointed shape with polymer tip ensures deep penetration and effective energy transfer on impact. The lead projectile guarantees consistent performance and retains its shape during storage, contributing to repeatable accuracy.

Who is this air rifle ammunition suitable for?

The Predator Polymag Short is designed for experienced shooters with powerful PCP air rifles who value magazine compatibility without compromising on performance. Due to the heavier weight, these pellets perform best in air rifles with sufficient power to effectively accelerate the 15.89 grain. Testing different energy levels with a chronograph helps to find the optimal velocity for the smallest groupings, as every air rifle responds differently to specific ammunition.
