The Arcturus AK MOD1 PDW FE is an AEG airsoft replica built on the AK platform, constructed from steel, aluminium, and polymer. The replica is part of the Feature Enhanced series and is equipped with a programmable FE ETU system, a V3 gearbox with quick spring replacement, and a rotary hop-up unit. The model weighs 3.2 kg and has a total length of 73 cm.
Mechanics and Operation
The AK MOD1 PDW FE features a V3 gearbox with quick spring replacement, 18:1 steel gears, a 21TPA motor, a POM CNC nozzle, and a CNC-machined stainless steel cylinder. The replica includes the FE ETU system, featuring Pre-Cocking (7 settings), Active Brake (8 settings), adjustable trigger hardness (5 settings), adjustable trigger reset (5 settings), a progressive algorithmically controlled trigger, an adaptive hair trigger, programmable firing modes, a binary trigger with Ramping, Low Battery Protection, and an electronic fuse. The fire selector supports semi-automatic, fully automatic, and adjustable burst. The replica operates on an 11.1V LiPo battery with a Deans connector. The muzzle velocity is 390 FPS with a maximum of 1.4 joules. The inner barrel length is 250 mm and the thread on the muzzle adapter is 14 mm CCW.
Key Features
The receiver, dust cover, optics mount, iron sights, fire selector, and various pins and screws are made of steel. The 6.2"-long M-LOK handguard, outer barrel, and RIS rails are made of aluminium. The stock is adjustable and folding, and the pistol grip is made of polymer with a textured surface. The top rail is a Picatinny rail; additional mounting options are provided by the M-LOK handguard and the included Picatinny side rails. The hop-up is adjustable.
Points of Note
A battery and charger are not included. Included in the box are a mid-cap airsoft magazine with a capacity of 130 BBs, a cleaning rod, an Allen key, and a Small Tamiya to Deans adapter.
