American Air Arms EVOL HPS .30
The American Air Arms EVOL HPS .30 is an advanced PCP air rifle that combines top American quality with impressive performance. This big bore rifle is specially developed for precision shooting at long range and delivers no less than 108 joules of energy. With its innovative HPS valve system and sub-MOA barrel, this air rifle offers everything the serious shooter needs for benchrest shooting or hitting small targets at long distances.
Our experience with the American Air Arms EVOL HPS
Upon first contact with this air rifle, the high-quality finish immediately stands out. The titanium air reservoir and CNC-machined components feel solid and radiate American craftsmanship. The side lever system operates smoothly and the balance is excellent, despite the weight of 3.2 kilogrammes. What truly impresses is the cut-rifling barrel - it genuinely delivers the promised sub-MOA precision.
Technology, performance and variants
The heart of this powerful air rifle is the balanced HPS valve system. This PCP system operates with a fill pressure of 250 bar in the 300cc titanium cylinder and delivers approximately 35-40 consistent shots. The model has a length of 99 cm, a barrel length of 457 mm and a magazine capacity of 9 shots. In caliber 7.62mm/.30, this air rifle produces 108 joules with a velocity of approximately 900 FPS (274 MPS). What's unique is the external adjustability: not only the regulator and hammer stroke, but also the valve timing is adjustable for complete control over power output. Curious about all the technical details? You'll find them under the 'More information' heading on this page.
Use and operation
This PCP air rifle feels familiar from the first moment. The side lever system operates smoothly and the 9-shot rotary magazine cycles reliably. The ambidextrous safety catch is easily accessible from any shooting position. The single action trigger system can be perfectly adjusted to your preference. The polymer stock with adjustable cheek piece and the Picatinny rails make it possible to fully customise this air rifle to your shooting style.
