Ridgeline Ascent Softshell Jacket – jacket for mountain hiking

This softshell jacket combines warmth with breathability for active mountain hikers. The Dirt Camo pattern provides natural concealment in rocky terrain. With a windproof design and water resistance up to 5,000 mm, this jacket offers protection against changing weather conditions during multi-day treks.

Technical features

The Ascent is constructed from a robust polyester outer layer with a breathable grid-fleece lining. The laminated membrane provides a hydrostatic head of 5,000 mm, making the jacket water-repellent. The jacket features a deep hood and high collar for wind protection. Pocket layout consists of two hand pockets, a chest pocket, and a small arm pocket, all equipped with zippers with easy-grab pullers. Available in size S with Dirt Camo pattern.

Use during mountain hiking

This softshell jacket functions as a versatile outer layer during active movement. The windproof construction maintains perceived temperature during ascents, while the breathable fleece lining wicks away excess moisture. The water-resistant coating protects against light rain and mist. In heavy rainfall, additional rain protection is required. The practical pockets provide space for navigation tools, energy bars, and small equipment within easy reach.

Who is this jacket suitable for?

The Ascent Softshell is suitable for hikers and mountain walkers who remain active in changing conditions. Ideal for those seeking a breathable layer that functions both as a mid-layer and an outer layer. Less suitable for static activities or extreme rainfall, where a hardshell or more heavily insulated jacket is preferable.

Add the Ridgeline Ascent Softshell Jacket to your kit and set off well-prepared.
