When testing these Big Bore slugs, we immediately noticed the difference compared to lighter ammunition. The projectiles maintained their stability up to well over 100 metres, even in moderate wind. In our UMAREX Hammer .50, they performed optimally at higher pressure settings – the heavy weight of 440 grains requires that extra energy to maintain a flat trajectory. At 75 metres, the groupings were still very consistent, making this slug for PCP air rifle ideal for precision work at longer distances.
