Night Thorn BlackField – Compact karambit pocket knife for everyday use

The Night Thorn is a striking pocket knife from BlackField with the characteristic karambit design. This spring-assisted knife is ideal for EDC (everyday carry) and outdoor activities. With its hawkbill blade shape and sturdy karambit ring, this knife offers excellent control for precision work.

Experience from the Shogun team

During a camping trip, the quick opening of this pocket knife immediately stood out. The spring-assisted function operates smoothly, although we noticed that the karambit ring takes some getting used to for users without experience with this type of knife.

Performance and sharpness of this pocket knife

The 440C stainless steel is a reliable choice that maintains its sharpness well and is easy to maintain. This steel offers a good balance between hardness and flexibility. The hawkbill shape with a blade length of 7 cm cuts excellently through rope, cardboard and other daily cutting tasks.

Grip and ease of use

The karambit ring provides an ergonomic grip that keeps the knife securely in your hand. The linerlock locking mechanism works reliably and the knife can be opened one-handed thanks to the spring-assisted system.

Who is this pocket knife suitable for?

This pocket knife is suitable for users looking for a compact EDC knife with extra grip security. Both beginners and advanced users appreciate the safe karambit ring, although the hawkbill shape may be less practical for some tasks compared to a straight edge.

Maintenance and durability

The 440C stainless steel requires little maintenance. Regular cleaning and light oiling will keep the knife in top condition. The pocket clip is sturdy and keeps the knife securely in place during daily use.
