Greif Pluimpjes – lightweight air rifle ammunition for beginners and plinking

These Pluimpjes are specially designed for smoothbore air rifles and offer a unique shooting experience. With their distinctive 5.5mm calibre and colourful feathered tail, they fly stably through the air. They are not traditional pellet ammunition, but playful projectiles that are perfect for relaxed shooting at short distances up to approximately 25 metres.

Our experience from the Shogun team

We have extensively tested these Pluimpjes with various lightweight break barrel air rifles. At distances up to 25 metres, they remain surprisingly stable thanks to their feathered construction. When used outdoors, we did notice that they are sensitive to crosswinds due to their light weight. However, for indoor use or windless days, they are perfect for plinking and target shooting.

These Greif Pluimpjes have a 5.5mm (.22) calibre and are specifically made for smoothbore systems. They are supplied in packs of 25 or 100 pieces, with the larger pack being ideal for longer shooting sessions. The most practical advantage is that they are reusable – after shooting, you can simply pick them up and use them again. The feathered construction provides aerodynamic stability without the weight of traditional air rifle ammunition.
