This hop-up unit from Mechlabs introduces a revolutionary approach for HPA hop-up systems by completely eliminating the traditional hop-up rubber. The ROTO system replaces the vulnerable rubber bucking with an integrated contact nub applied directly to the piston. This design eliminates the most common problems such as tearing, deformation and inconsistent placement which can be critical particularly in HPA setups with high pressure and heavy BBs. The enlarged contact surface maximises the Magnus effect for more stable backspin.

Technical characteristics

The ROTO system consists of a polymer housing in a striking blue colour. The patented bucking-less architecture features a precision-formed nub which is applied directly to the piston via micro-injection. This nub is manufactured from a compound with higher hardness than traditional hop-up rubbers, ensuring superior durability. The modular design guarantees mechanical indexing for automatic alignment. The adjustable rear section of the hop-up chamber enables fine-tuning for optimal air seal against the nozzle.

Compatibility and application

This hop-up unit is specifically developed for HPA platforms and high-performance airsoft builds where consistency is crucial. The system is universally applicable within HPA configurations. Due to the mechanical self-alignment, installation is simpler than with traditional hop-up chambers, although experience with HPA systems is recommended.
