Rotary Pro Hop Up Chamber Buckingless | HPA | Mechlabs

This hop-up unit from Mechlabs breaks with the traditional design and omits the hop-up bucking entirely. Instead of a rubber that applies backspin to your BB, this buckingless hop-up works with a micro-injected nub that sits directly on the piston and provides the contact point with the BB. You use this airsoft hop-up in HPA builds where you need consistent shot-to-shot performance, particularly at higher pressures and with heavier BBs. You choose this system when you want to eliminate bucking-related issues such as tearing, swelling, or misalignment.

Technical specifications

The housing and enlarged adjustment wheel of the ROTO Pro are fully CNC-machined from aluminium, finished in orange. The nub is made from a higher-durometer compound, providing resistance to deformation under sustained pressure and velocity. The total length is 53 mm and the total height is 38 mm. The design is modularly built with mechanically indexed components that self-align. The rear section of the hop-up is adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune the position of the chamber relative to the nozzle for air seal. The package includes the hop-up as well as a nozzle.

Compatibility and application

This hop-up unit is designed to work in conjunction with the Mechlabs X-Mod HPA Engines and is intended for HPA platforms and high-pressure setups. The system targets advanced builds and competition-level configurations where you work with heavier BBs and higher pressures. Important to note: the nozzle you use must be adjustable or have the correct specific length to fit the ROTO system, otherwise you will not achieve the air seal and consistency required. Due to the modular, indexed construction, the hop-up self-aligns correctly after installation, but some experience assembling HPA internals is recommended to set everything up properly.
