H&N Slug HP II 5.5mm 27gr – hollow point slug for PCP air rifle

During testing, we immediately noticed the stable flight, even in crosswind. The Slug HP II maintains its trajectory reliably up to approximately 100 metres, provided sufficient energy is delivered by your PCP. The hollow point nose ensures excellent energy transfer on impact, while the cylindrical profile guides the projectile smoothly through the barrel. At distances around 75 metres, we noticed a pleasing grouping, provided your air rifle is tuned for this type of slug.

With a caliber of 5.5 mm, a head diameter of 5.53 mm, a length of 7.9 mm and a weight of 27 grain, this is a relatively heavy projectile within this caliber class. The material is lead, which ensures a good seal in the barrel and efficient energy transfer. The packaging contains 200 pieces, sufficient for extensive test sessions. The recommended minimum energy is 25 joules, with an optimal range of around 50 metres at that entry-level energy — at higher outputs that window shifts further. Trying different grain weights in combination with a chronograph gives you precise insight into the actual energy output and helps you tune the Slug HP II perfectly to your PCP.
