H&N Slug HP 6.35mm 34 grain – heavy slugs for powerful PCP air rifles

The H&N Slug HP combines a weight of 34 grains with a hollow point design in 6.35mm caliber. These heavy slugs are specifically developed for powerful PCP systems from 80 Joules and offer excellent performance at distances well beyond 75 metres. The hollow point design ensures optimal energy transfer on impact, making these slugs particularly suitable for rat control and other pest management.

Our experience from the Shogun team

In our tests, these H&N slugs demonstrated an impressive flat trajectory and consistent grouping, even at distances over 100 metres. The relatively high weight of 34 grains provides excellent wind resistance and energy retention at longer ranges. The precision with which H&N manufactures these slugs results in a very consistent diameter of 6.33mm, ensuring optimal sealing in the barrel without excessive friction.

Technical features in practice

With a caliber of 6.35mm and a weight of 34 grains, these hollow point slugs deliver an excellent balance between velocity and energy. The lead projectile has an optimised aerodynamic profile that ensures stable flight and deep penetration. The packaging contains 120 pieces, sufficient for extensive testing sessions. The use of a chronograph is recommended to determine the optimal air pressure for your specific air rifle and to find the best balance between velocity and precision.

Who is this air rifle slug suitable for?

This H&N Slug HP is ideal for experienced shooters with powerful PCP systems who seek maximum precision and energy at long range. Due to the hollow point design, these slugs are particularly effective for pest control, where we emphasise that the use of an air rifle for control is legally regulated. In many cases, an exemption or hunting licence is required, and this is only permitted for recognised controllers or certified users. Precision long-range shooting and shooting through heavy targets are also possible applications.
