Our experience with Daisy Buck | 4.5mm
What immediately struck the Shogun team about this air rifle is how natural the lever-action operation feels. The light weight of just 0.8 kg makes it perfectly manoeuvrable, whilst the warm wooden stock sits comfortably in the hand. Refilling via the loading port is so intuitive that even children master it within minutes.
Technology, performance and variants
This air rifle works with a pull-down cocking system that you operate via the classic lever beneath the trigger guard. The model fires 4.5mm steel BBs at a comfortable velocity that is ideal for target shooting at 10-15 metres distance. With a length of 76 cm, no muzzle extension and a magazine capacity of 400 BBs, this air rifle offers hours of shooting enjoyment. The single-action trigger system ensures a predictable release. Curious about all the technical details? You'll find them under the heading 'More information' on this page.
Use and operation
Cocking this air rifle is surprisingly smooth with the bolt system: pull the lever-action lever downwards and a BB automatically rolls from the internal magazine into the chamber. The fixed front sight and rear notch provide a clear sight picture, whilst the design is suitable for both left- and right-handed users. The virtually silent character makes it ideal for use in the back garden.
Who is this air rifle intended for?
The Daisy Buck is perfect for young beginners who want to safely get acquainted with shooting sports. The deliberately mild power makes it ideal for learning proper shooting technique. Adults looking for a light, nostalgic air rifle for recreational plinking will also find an excellent choice here.
