We took this pocket knife with us on a weekend trip to the Ardennes. The spring-assisted mechanism works surprisingly smoothly, even with cold fingers. The grip remained stable while cutting rope in the rain, although we noticed the blade needs to be sharpened more frequently with intensive use.
Performance and sharpness of this pocket knife
The 3Cr13 stainless steel is an entry-level steel that retains its edge reasonably well and is resistant to corrosion. The droppoint shape with satin finish cuts easily through rope, food and light packaging material. With a blade length of 7.62 cm and 3 mm thickness, it is ideal for precision work, but when working with heavier wood you will notice its limits.
Grip and ease of use
The aluminium handle sits comfortably in the hand with a folded length of 9.53 cm. The linerlock works reliably and the spring-assisted opening mechanism makes one-handed opening very easy. At just 100 grams, you’ll barely notice it in your pocket.
