At Shogun we have extensively tested this air rifle. The substantial weight of 3.8 kilograms is immediately noticeable – this provides a solid, stable base during shooting. The wooden stock feels comfortable and the finish is as you would expect from Weihrauch: solid and with attention to detail.
Technology, performance and variants
The HW35 operates with a traditional spring system via the break barrel. This proven system is known for its reliability and simplicity. This model has a length of 111 cm, a barrel length of 470 mm and works with a single-shot system. For mounting a rifle scope there is an 11mm dovetail rail available. The HW35 is available in caliber 4.5 mm with a maximum power of 15 joules and in caliber 5.5 mm, also with 15 joules. The difference in caliber mainly determines the pellet trajectory and impact force – 4.5 mm for a flatter trajectory and precision, 5.5 mm for more penetration. Use and operation
This air rifle feels immediately familiar. The safety works intuitively and the adjustable front sight and rear sight make aiming accurate. Loading via the break barrel is simple: fold the barrel down, insert a pellet and close again. The single-action trigger requires minimal force, which contributes to stable shots.
