Our Experience with the Katran NX HP

From the first contact, you immediately feel that this is no ordinary air rifle. The Shogun team was particularly impressed by the well-thought-out ergonomics – the side lever cycles smoothly and the single action trigger system breaks predictably. The combination of aluminium, carbon, and stainless steel elements provides a perfect balance between weight and strength. The long ARCA rail running almost the entire underside is a clever addition – you can mount accessories exactly where they work best for you.

Technology and Performance

This PCP air rifle operates on a high-pressure air system with a HUMA Air regulator for consistent shot output. With a barrel length of 100 cm and a 6.35 mm calibre, you achieve impressive performance up to 60 joules. The 22mm Picatinny rail on top provides space for any rifle scope, while the M-LOK side rails offer additional mounting options. The barrel end features a 1/2 UNF thread for a moderator. Use and Handling

The fully adjustable PRS stock adapts effortlessly to your physique – suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters. As a single-shot system, you place the pellet directly into the barrel, which contributes to precision. Cocking with the side lever feels natural and requires little effort. Thanks to the extensive ARCA rail, you can position a bipod or hand rest with millimetre accuracy for perfect balance.
