MOD 130 Vortex QE Black | 7.62/.30 | Hatsan
The Hatsan MOD 130 Vortex QE Black is an impressive break-barrel air rifle that stands out in the big bore class. This air rifle combines Turkish craftsmanship with modern technology, where the caliber of 7.62mm/.30 and the power of 36 joules ensure exceptional performance in precision shooting at longer distances.
Our experience with the MOD 130 Vortex QE Black
At the Shogun team, this powerful air rifle immediately impressed with its solid construction. The weight of 4.36 kilograms feels substantial, whilst the polymer stock with adjustable cheek piece balances perfectly. The Quattro two-stage trigger particularly surprised us positively - a level of refinement we rarely encounter in this price range.
Technology, performance and variants
This air-powered weapon operates via a proven break-barrel system that consistently delivers 36 joules. The 415mm long barrel is equipped with an integrated QE (Quiet Energy) suppressor that effectively reduces the sound of the shot. With a total length of 1238mm and the SAS Shock Absorber System that absorbs vibrations, this model offers optimal stability for accurate shooting. Curious about all the technical details? You'll find them under the heading 'More information' on this page.
Use and operation
Loading this air rifle proceeds smoothly thanks to the break-barrel mechanism with anti-bear trap safety. The Truglo fibre optics iron sights provide a clear sight picture, although most shooters will likely opt for a rifle scope on the 11mm dovetail or 22mm Picatinny rail. A scope stop is essential when mounting a scope - the powerful recoil can otherwise cause unwanted shifting.
Who is this air rifle intended for?
The MOD 130 Vortex QE is ideal for the experienced shooter seeking maximum precision and power. The big bore caliber of 7.62mm makes it perfect for serious target shooting, whilst the adjustable trigger and cheek piece offer room for personal fine-tuning according to individual preferences.
