Recon 3.0 Viper XS | Rifle | AEG | Evolution

The Evolution Recon 3.0 Viper XS is a compact electric assault rifle based on the familiar M4/AR15 platform. This AEG combines a robust polymer body with metal reinforcements, a 7-inch M-LOK handguard and an advanced ETS IV VIPER™ electronic trigger unit that offers you multiple firing modes.

Experience & handling – Recon 3.0 Viper XS

With a length of 51.5 to 77.5 cm when extended, this is a compact model that is handy in tight spaces. The weight of 2.2 kg makes it relatively light for prolonged use, whilst the adjustable stock ensures you can quickly adjust it to fit. The barrel length is 20 cm and the Picatinny top rail in combination with the M-LOK rails makes it easy to equip with optics and accessories such as the included foregrip. Because this is an AEG, you will notice in use that the trigger response sometimes feels slightly less direct than with gas models, but you do benefit from consistent performance as long as your battery is charged. Do remember to charge your battery regularly for long skirmish days.

What makes the Recon 3.0 Viper XS special?

The M4/AR15 platform is popular worldwide and broadly compatible with parts and accessories. The body is made of Carbontech™ reinforced technopolymer with an aluminium core, which provides a solid yet lightweight construction. The advanced ETS IV VIPER™ electronic trigger unit opens doors to five firing modes: semi-automatic, automatic, burst, binary trigger and even a sniper mode. Additionally, pre-cocking, active brake and trigger sensitivity are adjustable, giving you extra control over performance. The flip-up sights and tool-less grip make operation and adjustment even simpler.

Technology & performance – Recon 3.0 Viper XS

Inside you will find a reinforced Version 2 gearbox with PM steel gears, 8 mm steel bushings and a reinforced piston with steel teeth. The motor is a High Torque of 22000 RPM and the inner barrel has a precision of 6.01 mm. The hop-up is rotary and adjustable, as are the front and rear sights. The magazine capacity is 140 BBs (mid-cap). You use a battery type of 11.1V LiPo with a Deans connector, which you place in the stock. The barrel thread is 14 mm CCW, allowing you to easily mount a suppressor. Keep your AEG in top condition by keeping the contact points clean and inspecting the gearbox occasionally for wear. Who is this model suitable for?

This compact assault rifle lends itself excellently to both indoor and outdoor skirmishes at short to medium range. Whether you are assembling your first setup or already have experience, the all-round character makes this model broadly deployable in CQB, speedsoft and field play. Because this is an AEG, you work worry-free with a battery and do not need to reload with gas, ideal for long play days where reliability counts.
