Lancer Tactical 3-9x40 IR Scope – this rifle scope for versatile precision

If you're looking for a rifle scope that performs excellently at both short and long distances, then this Lancer Tactical 3-9x40 IR is a smart choice. With a variable magnification of 3x to 9x and an objective lens of 40mm, this rifle scope offers you the flexibility you need for various shooting scenarios, whether you're engaged in airsoft or precision shooting with an air rifle.

What we think of this rifle scope

The Shogun team particularly appreciates the illuminated Mil-Dot reticle that you can switch between red and green. This makes aiming considerably easier in changing light conditions – think of dimly lit forest environments or brightly lit indoor fields. The aluminium construction feels solid without the weight hindering you during longer sessions.

Technical and optical performance

With a magnification of 3-9x and a lens diameter of 40mm, you get a clear and sharp image, even at maximum zoom. The illuminated reticle gives you just that bit of extra contrast when you need it. The tube diameter of 1 inch (25.4mm) is a widely used standard, which means you can potentially use other mounting rings later should that be necessary.

This rifle scope has a fixed parallax, which means the image is sharp at a preset distance – ideal for most airsoft and air rifle applications. For more technical specifications, you can always consult the 'More information' tab.

Mounting and compatibility

This Lancer Tactical is supplied with mounting rings for 22mm rails, but the mounting type is Picatinny – this is the standard for airsoft replicas and many PCP air rifles. It offers secure attachment and broad compatibility with various platforms. The included rings make it possible to mount this rifle scope directly onto your equipment without purchasing additional accessories.

Who is this rifle scope intended for?

This versatile rifle scope is perfect for the recreational shooter who values flexibility. Whether you're playing at 25 metres in a CQB environment or want to hit targets at 100 metres with your air rifle, this optic grows with you. The illuminated reticle also makes it suitable for early morning or late afternoon sessions when natural light is less optimal.
