Thermal Imaging Scope Thunder TQ50 2.0 | Hikmicro
Hikmicro Thunder TQ50 2.0
The Hikmicro Thunder TQ50 2.0 is an advanced thermal clip-on scope that mounts in front of your existing rifle scope. This thermal imager detects heat sources at long distances, allowing you to observe everything that would normally remain invisible, even in complete darkness or poor visibility.
Our opinion on this thermal imager
The Shogun team is impressed by the image quality delivered by this Hikmicro. The sensor with 640×512 resolution provides razor-sharp thermal images, allowing you to perceive even the smallest temperature differences. The focus knob on the side is a clever addition – no more fiddling with the front of the lens during use.
Technology and optical performance
This thermal imager features a thermal sensitivity of NETD <20mK, meaning it can detect the smallest temperature differences. The OLED display shows images clearly and with high contrast, while the fast F1.0 lens ensures maximum light transmission. With a 12 µm pixel pitch and a detection range of up to 2600 metres, you get detailed images that clearly display heat sources.
The battery lasts approximately 10 hours and can be charged both internally and externally. The robust black aluminium housing protects the advanced electronics from impacts and weather conditions. More technical specifications such as weight and exact dimensions can be found under the 'More information' tab.
Mounting and compatibility
This thermal sight is mounted via a M52×0.75 thread using the included Rusan ARM52 adapter. This universal system fits most rifle scopes, allowing you to easily switch between normal and thermal vision. The mounting and dismounting are designed so that you can do this quickly without having to re-zero the sight.
With five user profiles, you can use the Thunder TQ50 2.0 on different setups without recalibrating each time. This makes it ideal for those who use multiple optical systems.
Who is this thermal sight intended for?
This Hikmicro is perfect for anyone serious about observation in the dark. Whether you want to spot wildlife for nature photography, perform security tasks, or are fascinated by night technology – with this thermal imager, you see what would otherwise remain invisible. The professional specifications make it suitable for demanding users who do not want to compromise on detection range and image quality. It is also an excellent tool for search-and-rescue operations or technical inspections where temperature differences are important.
