TSURU Katana | Brown & Black | John Lee

Discover the TSURU Katana, a masterpiece by John Lee that is not only a symbol of craftsmanship, but also of luck and longevity. In Japan, the crane is known as a symbol of good luck, and this sword honours that tradition with a crane on the tsuba, which surrounds the sword.

The hand-forged carbon steel blade has an impressive 72 cm length and features a fine hamon, traditionally tempered for durability and sharpness.

With an overall length of 103 cm (without scabbard) and a weight of 1000 g (without scabbard), the TSURU Katana is both a beautiful display piece and a functional sword for experienced users.

The handle (tsuka), covered in real fish skin and decorated with two menuki, offers a comfortable grip and an authentic look. The tang is extra-long and secured with two bamboo pins (mekugi), adding to its sturdiness and durability.

The sheath (saya), made of wood and with a blade collar of brass (habaki), is traditionally wrapped in brown cotton. All this comes with a certificate of authenticity, carefully wrapped in cloth and presented in a high-quality box.
